DabookLady....DaBookLady who sometimes is referred to "Crochetoholic" or "DaCraftyLady" is a semi retired grade school teacher living in S. CA and loving every sunny minute of it. She is happily married to a carpenter and has 2 grown children and 3 g-kids.

  1. I am 57 yrs young [2008]
  2. I am married
  3. I have 2 grown children
  4. I raised them on my own as a single mom
  5. And I am very proud of both of them
  8. I live near the beach and love it!!
  9. I used to live in Norco, an equestrian town near Corona for over 13 years and moved back to the beach in 12/2003
  10. I had 5 horses in Norco
  11. I used to ride horses everyday
  12. Now they scare me and I would rather just look at them
  13. My ultimate favorite song is "Over the Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwoole
  14. I like rodeos
  15. I love to CW dance
  16. My favorite dog "Boo Boo Bear" died in 2004
  17. I love to watch old movies on TV
  18. I am addicted to the LifeTime channel
  19. I am a teacher by profession, but sub now
  20. I was born and raised in upstate NY
  21. I have 1 sister and no brothers
  22. My sister still lives in NY
  23. Both my Mom and Dad are gone
  24. Most of my family live in Florida
  25. I am very close to my cousin Glenn in KC, MO
  26. I love to travel
  27. I try to fly somewhere every year
  28. Every other year I fly back to NY
  29. Every year my sis and I pick a place in the US to meet to fly there,visit and sight see
  30. I get sick if I am in the sun too long
  31. I cannot pronounce Spanish words or names very well
  32. I love Lifetime and Sci-fi channels
  33. I am a Reading addict!!
  34. I can't resist a book sale
  35. I love Halloween!!
  36. I love to wear costumes
  37. I love bling bling
  38. I love animals
  39. I like people and making new friends
  40. I have not drank coffee since 1970
  41. I love the smell of it, though
  42. I love tea and tea houses
  43. I am a Red Hats lady
  44. I like to lunch with friends
  45. I love to read HP books over and over again
  46. I love the ocean
  47. But not to swim in it I just love to look at it and hear it
  48. I am a people watcher
  49. I like to go to the park and feed the birds

  53. I am always on a diet!
  54. I watch TV till I fall asleep
  55. I always watch the reruns at 11:00-12 am
  56. I would like to write a novel
  57. I have over 20 pen pals
  58. I love Celtic music
  59. I sing to the radio when classic rock is on
  60. I love to bake
  61. I love brownies with chocolate frosting
  62. I do not like to ride on roller coasters
  63. My favorite color is pink and burgundy
  64. My family is the most important thing in my life next to God
  65. My friends are also very important to me
  66. I don't like phoney people
  67. I am a Law & Order junky
  68. I love LOST
  69. I think Tom Selleck is yummy
  70. I also think David Hassaldorf is yummy
  71. I collect Marilyn Monroe memorabilia
  72. I collect music boxes
  73. I collect too much!!
  74. I have 2 friends from the 7th grade that I still talk to
  75. I used to be a size 0 and sometimes wore kids size 14 till I was 32 yrs old
  76. I was not very popular in the 9th and 10th grades
  77. I got very popular in the later part of 10th and then 11th grade
  78. I got married at 16 to my childhood sweetheart
  79. I divorced him 8 1/2 years later
  80. I stayed in California and he went back to NY
  81. I went back and finished school and now have a 4 yr degree and my teacher's credential [2 more years of college] too many years
  82. I used to work in a grocery store in the meat dept. as a meat wrapper
  83. I was also an Insurance Adjuster for Bodily Claims for way too long!!
  84. I don't sweat the small stuff anymore
  86. I love eating out with my DH
  87. I married my DH 2x
  88. I love Hawaii
  89. I protested the Vietnam war in the late 60s early 70s
  90. I drove back and forth from NY to CA over 10 times
  91. One thing most people don't know about me is that I went to Woodstock in NY in 1969
  92. I just discovered that I have a bad habit of crowding things, like plants in a garden
  93. I procrastinate everyday when it comes to exercise
  94. I love Big Bear
  95. But I don't like the cold
  96. I love to shop
  97. I love my Cadillac CTS
  98. I spend way too much time on this computer
  99. I wish there were more hours in the day for crafting
  100. I went to my 1st CGOA Conference 9/07 and loved it!
  101. I really want to learn how to play the piano better
  102. I think "Whispers" by Dean Koonz is one of the best books I've read.. scary
  103. Oh yeah, and I'm a Crochetoholic
